鼎藝團,成立於2007年,是新加坡最傑出的華樂室內樂團之一,獲得新加坡國家藝術理事會常年補助計劃的主要撥款,由新加坡文化獎得主鄭朝吉博士擔任音樂總監,郭勇德擔任指揮;宗旨在通過演奏華樂傳統音樂與跨流派現代作品,以弘揚與推廣新加坡華樂室內樂。2008年,在新加坡全國華樂比賽中榮獲合奏小組總冠軍;2009年,在蘭戈倫國際威爾斯詩人與音樂家節民族器樂比賽中奪魁;2011年,在第28屆上海之春國際音樂節的海內外江南絲竹邀請賽中榮獲銀獎;鼎藝團又常被邀請出訪世界各地音樂節,如上海世博會、菲律賓藝術節、2012年亞細安藝術節、婆羅洲世界音樂節、砂拉越雨林世界音樂節、2014年,日惹國際表演藝術節、桃園藝術節、2015年,第十屆烏茲別克薩馬爾罕國際音樂節—東方之音等。2015年,新加坡建國50周年之際,鼎藝團受新加坡駐德國大使館之邀赴柏林Heilig-KreuzKirche教堂呈獻專場音樂會;同年8月,受邀到蘇州和無錫呈獻緬懷李光耀暨新加坡建國50周年慶《花園中的新加坡》音樂會;11月,榮幸地獲邀到國宴上獻上富有本土色彩的音樂;2016年,與新加坡駐香港特區總領事館在香港演藝學院戲劇院聯合呈獻《獅城情•香江韻》;2017年,參演香港國際青年中樂節,坎培拉國際音樂節;2018年,參與了香港國際青年中樂節;2019年,在中國-東盟音樂節中演出。近年,鼎藝團在教育拓展方面亦貢獻不少,屢次舉辦多場戶外演出與活動,極力推廣華樂室內樂,讓小朋友們認識與瞭解華樂室內樂,通過「指揮操」幫助樂齡人士鍛鍊身體,同時進一步接觸音樂。

Ding Yi Music Company, established in 2007, is one of Singapore’s most outstanding Chinese chamber music ensembles. It receives major funding from the National Arts Council’s annual grant program. The company is led by Dr. Tay Teow Kiat, a recipient of the Cultural Medallion of Singapore, as the Music Director, and Adrian Chiang as the conductor. Its mission is to promote and preserve Singaporean Chinese chamber music through performances of traditional Chinese music and contemporary cross-genre works.

In 2008, Ding Yi Music Company won the Chamber Music Group Championship at the National Chinese Music Competition in Singapore. In 2009, they emerged victorious in the Instrumental Ensemble category at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod in Wales. They also achieved a Silver Award at the National Chinese Music Instrumental Competition in the Inner String and Bamboo Ensemble category in 2011.

Ding Yi Music Company is frequently invited to participate in music festivals worldwide, including the Shanghai Expo, the Philippines Arts Festival, the 2012 Asia-Europe Arts Festival, the Borneo World Music Festival, the Rainforest World Music Festival in Sarawak, the 2014 Yogyakarta International Performing Arts Festival, the Taoyuan Arts Festival, and the 10th Samarkand International Music Festival in Uzbekistan.

In 2015, on the occasion of Singapore’s 50th National Day, Ding Yi Music Company was invited by the Singapore Embassy in Germany to present a special concert at Heilig-KreuzKirche in Berlin. In August of the same year, they were invited to Suzhou and Wuxi to perform a concert titled “Singapore in the Garden” in commemoration of Lee Kuan Yew and Singapore’s 50th National Day. In November, they had the honor of performing music with local flavors at a state banquet.

In 2016, Ding Yi Music Company collaborated with the Consulate-General of Singapore in Hong Kong SAR to present “Lion City Sentiments • Fragrance of Hong Kong” at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. In 2017, they participated in the Hong Kong International Youth Chinese Orchestra Festival and the Canberra International Music Festival. They also took part in the Hong Kong International Youth Chinese Orchestra Festival in 2018. In 2019, they performed at the China-ASEAN Music Festival.

In recent years, Ding Yi Music Company has made significant contributions to educational outreach. They have organized numerous outdoor performances and activities to promote Chinese chamber music and introduce it to children. They also conduct “Conducting Fitness” sessions to help senior citizens stay active through music and further engage with the art form.
