The Orchestra is a non-profit organization. The objectives of the orchestra are to introduce and develop Chinese music and to harmonize Chinese music as a part of the multicultural society in Canada. There was around 20 members at the early stage. Thereafter, the Orchestra participated in frequent performances and other music activities and the number of members has been increased to approximately forty. Members came from all sources including music and other professionals. Most of the members came from Hong Kong and there are also some from China and Singapore.
