LU Ri-rong<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n LU Ri-rong was born in June 1933 in Jun (now Dan Jiang Kou), Hubei province. In his hometown, there were full of folk songs and chants of craftsmen during his childhood. In 1949, he joined the Art Performance Team of south Shaanxi. In 1951, he was admitted to the music department of the Northwest Arts Academy till his graduation in 1954. He then successively taught in the Northwest Arts Academy, the Xi\u2019an Conservatory and the Xi\u2019an Communication University. He is now the president of the Shaanxi Traditional and Orchestral Music Association and also the assistant director of the committee of national music of the Chinese Musicians\u2019 Association. In 1963, he was selected to participate in the 4th<\/sup> Shanghai Spring Festival\u2019s national erhu<\/em> competition.
