美國洛杉磯春雷國樂社，是1979年由俞程競英女士創辦的非盈利音樂社團，幾十年來為發揚海外中華文化做出非凡貢獻！至1982年樂友日增，才敦請琵琶名家呂培源先生來擔任音樂指導，並由呂先生取了一個響亮的社名——春雷國樂社。自此，樂社乃正名為「春雷國樂社」，張厚衡社長是春雷的核心。1990年名作曲家喬飛加入春雷國樂社擔任指揮，春雷國樂社架構就更為完善。自1990年起，許多來自中港台三地的國際精英紛紛加入該社。春雷國樂社每次公演，常有昆曲參加。因昆曲乃各種戲曲的根源，自1980年成立「美西昆曲研究社」以來，多次演出成績可嘉。國樂與昆曲聯合演出，益發彰顯出春雷演出的特色。每次公演，各界好評如潮，讓人覺得幾十年來的心血沒有枉費。春雷還有很多老社友，馬梅耶、梁雲河、唐豔文、王國屏、項勤、朱朗州、揚德書、劉起超、許小曙等，各人的演奏都非常精彩，配合一眾社友，王敬之、甘智榮、黃翠施、何興華、汪麗勻、宋麗君、金利慶等的精誠協作，有緣在一起，與所有愛好國樂的朋友們共勉!
Spring Thunder Chinese Music Association in Los Angeles, United States, is a non-profit music organization founded in 1979 by Ms. YU CHENG Jing-ying, which has made extraordinary contributions to promoting Chinese culture overseas for decades. By 1982, the number of music enthusiasts had increased, prompting the invitation of renowned pipa master Mr. LUI Pui-yuan to serve as the music director. Mr. Lui gave the organization a resounding name – Spring Thunder Chinese Music Association. Since then, the organization has been officially known as the “Spring Thunder Chinese Music Association”, with President ZHANG Hou-heng at its core. In 1990, renowned composer QIAO Fei joined the association as a conductor, further improving its structure. Since 1990, many international elites from Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan have joined the association. During each performance of the Spring Thunder Chinese Music Association, there is often participation from Kunqu opera, as Kunqu opera is the root of various traditional Chinese operas. Since the establishment of the “Western U.S. Kunqu Opera Research Society” in 1980, they have achieved commendable performance results. The combination of Chinese music and Kunqu opera in their performances further highlights the unique characteristics of the Spring Thunder Chinese Music Association. Each performance receives overwhelming praise from various sectors, making it evident that the efforts put in over the decades have not been in vain. Spring Thunder also has many veteran members, including MA Mei-ye, LIANG Yun-he, TANG Yan-wen, WANG Guo-ping, XIANG Qin, ZHU Lang-zhou, YANG De-shu, LIU Qi-chao, XU Xiao-shu, and others. Each member’s performance is exceptional, and with the collaboration and dedication of fellow members such as WANG Jing-zhi, GAN Zhi-rong, HUANG Cui-shi, HE Xing-hua, WANG Li-yun, SONG Li-jun, JIN Li-qing, and others, they are fortunate to come together and encourage all friends who love Chinese music.
